Set List: 11/04/2007

We blew one of the theater’s power breakers at a terrible time this morning, I say that, but is there really a good time? We made it to the third song in the set and then the lighting blew to one spot and one blue can (which is about 8 lights short of our normal setup). I honestly didn’t know what to do, so i just kept truckin’ right on through. Our sound all runs from inside the theater, so that was really no issue. We pipe in all of our lighting electricity from the film control room. We actually pull electricity from four or five other theaters – so ours knocked out the KidZone projector this morning, too. This week, we blew the one that controls the overhead lighting in our theater – so we lost complete control while they system rebooted. It sounds worse than it actually was. I honestly can’t believe it took 7 weeks to do it.

We did a live drama this morning – a straight jacket monologue. Dramas can be one of the most effective forms of communication, but running them live in a portable setting is always dangerous. Our mic was having some problems immediately into the drama, and we couldn’t risk the distraction, so we immediately killed the mic. Lisa Marie did a flippin’ amazing job. I told everyone to be ready to run without a mic just in case. I’m not sure that it wasn’t more powerful without the mic. She didn’t miss a beat and it was incredibly powerful.

Now, for the actual set:

A – Break Free (Hillsong United)
F – Lord of All (Hillsong London) You’ve got to love a song with at least 3 different time signatures – especial 7/4.
G – We Are Hungry (Steve Fee/Passion)
D – Rescue (Jared Anderson/Desperation Band/New Life Church)
D – Lead us Up the Mountain (Matt Redman)
